Confirming international media reports that the SAF

Confirming international media reports that the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) employs foreign mercenaries, we have documented evidence that forces from the Tigray Liberation Front (TPLF), previously accused of committing atrocities in Ethiopia, are now fighting alongside the SAF and its allied militias linked to the terrorist former regime.

The SAF continues to make use of jihadist forces associated with terrorist networks and armed mercenary groups. Since the start of this war on April 15, 2023, the SAF has actively sought assistance from foreign mercenaries and entities across multiple countries. These external forces have supported the SAF in diverse roles, including operations involving the air force, engineering, artillery, military drone deployment, and information warfare.

Our advanced surveillance systems have documented the deaths of numerous mercenaries killed in combat and tracked their remains as they were repatriated through Port Sudan Airport last November and December.

We deeply regret the conditions that have led the SAF to rely on the remnants of the extremist former regime. Despite these challenges, we remain committed to supporting our courageous RSF soldiers and the resilient people of Sudan. Our aim is to rebuild our country on new and just foundations, and to establish a unified professional national army devoid of ideological influence that is dedicated solely to safeguarding our homeland and its citizens.
